Hive School Shares Good Practice With Camden Headteachers
BackIn October, our Hive team were very pleased to host a group of head teachers from Camden.
The Camden heads' visit was the first of a series of three trips to schools outside their own borough, with our group of guests coming from Parliament Hill, Acland Burghley, Maria Fidelis and Hampstead schools. The visit was planned to give their heads and school leaders an opportunity to see Hive school St Mary Magdalene Academy in session, and to learn more in conversation about our approach to raising standards and improvement, gaining consistency in pedagogy in classrooms, leadership structures and distribution of responsibilities.
Hive Education Trust CEO, Vicky Linsley says, 'We were delighted that Camden Learning invited us to host this visit. We're always happy to share our examples of good practice, and to hear from others. And our Hive team very much enjoyed meeting the Camden team.'
Headteacher of Acland Burghley, Martha Collins says 'The visit had a real impact on me and is already making a difference to some of my thinking about the next few years, and how we get that improvement in the areas we need it to. A particular thank you to Shabaz Sayed, with whom I had the pleasure of touring the school – what a talented senior leader – and to Vicky Linsley for her insight and openness in sharing her experience over the last decade. Zoe Meza was absolutely excellent: her knowledge, enthusiasm and approach were hugely impressive. Thank you again for such a helpful and thought-provoking visit. It was time very well spent.'
A big thank you goes to Camden Learning for organising the trip, and to all our guests.
